The role of a woman in one’s life is the most important thing.
No one can deny that, obviously we all know that very well.
But do we ever think, how can we show our appreciation and gratitude to them. 

We all owe them a lot no matter what role she is playing in our life.
A women has many stages and roles throughout her life, and each has its own importance. Whether she is a daughter, sister, mother, wife or a friend she is always there to help.

For those who actually want to show how much our mothers, wives, daughter, and sisters are important to us, there’s a great day called Women’s day.

What’s International Women’s Day is about?

The International Women’s Day is all about these great roles of a woman to show them how important, precious and valuable they are.

When Women’s Day is celebrated?

International Women’s Day (IWD) is observed on 8^th March every year worldwide. People may not be aware of that Women’s day was first observed on February 28 1909 in New York. 

However, later on 1910 German Socialist Luise Zietz from the 1910 International Socialist Woman’s Conference proposed that Women’s day should be an annually held event.

In a nutshell, The United National General Assembly decided March 8 as an International Women’s Day (IWD) 1977 and since then it’s been celebrated worldwide.

Why and what’s the purpose of observing Women’s Day?

The main purpose of this day is to raise the awareness of women’s rights and highlight the importance and equality of them.

The day has very significant value itself, moreover, it has more importance in places of world where women are forced to face inequality on their day to day life.

Women inequality and discrimination are two of the main reasons why this day is considered so much important across the globe.

How it is celebrated?

Many events and Seminars are held on International Women’s Day around the world.

As mentioned earlier, International Women’s day is held on March 8 and on this special day various events are held too.

Basically the intend of celebrating such events is to raise the awareness of women’s rights and provide them with an opportunity to cope with the struggles and challenges they have to face on daily basis in every walk of life.

The events are held in different forms, such as, Conferences, Seminars, and Luncheons and so on.

Women of various status like, entrepreneur, business leaders, inventors, political, and celebrities are 

encouraged and invited to participate in such events.

Women’s Day is celebrated everywhere by everyone

Many schools arrange debates and presentation programs about importance of Women in society, their rights, and most importantly issues that affect their personality being women. 

Students take part in such themes and this this special day is celebrated across schools.

In addition to this, in some schools, students bring cards and gifts for their female teachers. On top of that,

Women receive many presents from their family members, colleagues, and friends and so on.
